Top cars for comfort

You don’t need snappy manual gearboxes, or buttock-hugging racing seats if you’re just driving your car home from work each day. However, having a comfortable car can make your commute a lot less stressful, and make long journeys to the office much easier to face. We at My Big Fleet have a huge range of the most comfortable cars available. Though, we do have some favourites, and we’ve listed them below. Mercedes-Benz C Class The Mercedes-Benz C Class is an icon among luxury cars, and is often recognised for the latest technology and design standards. Its air suspension absorbs ragged road surfaces or large potholes with an ease. The cabin is trimmed from roof to floor with luxurious materials and the seats are super supportive for any long commutes you have to face.

Mercedes-Benz E Class Saloon

Even though it doesn’t quite offer the levels of luxury found in the C-Class, the E Class is still one of the most developed cars you can buy. The cabin is stylish, packed with high-end technology and has impressively comfortable seats. Each seat has immense back support, and it comes with optional air suspension to flow over bumps in the road. This car's comfort really does optimise your driving experience.

Citroen C4 Cactus

If you want a car that won’t break the bank, though is still just as comfortable as its luxurious competitors, the Citroen C4 Cactus is for you. Its eye-catching futuristic body hides a cabin that is big enough for a family of four. The suspension has been tuned for comfort, and so journeys have become much more bearable and cracked road surfaces don’t send shocks through the whole vehicle.

Audi Q5

The Audi Q5 is a jack-of all trades. It feels beautifully built, and is fabulous to drive with great stability and accurate controls. Its optional air suspension adds another factor to its list, letting it absorb even the biggest bumps while smoothing out rough road surfaces. It’s so pleasing, with its diesel engines being amongst the quietest on the market today. BMW 5 Series This brand is better known for building sporty cars, though the 5 Series is still hugely comfortable. Its optional adaptive dampers can be set to comfort mode, allowing the car to mask big bumps whilst out on the worst road surfaces. The cabin features numerous soft materials and the seats are hugely supportive.

Vauxhall Astra

This car is a common site on the roads, though it is easy to forget that it really is an impressive bit of work. The interior feels well built with the seats providing great back support, whilst there’s more than enough room for four adults to stretch out. This is a vehicle that won’t break the bank but is sure to please with comfort.

Nissan Qashqai

The Nissan Qashqai is a fabulous family SUV thanks to its comfort, driving experience and well built cabin. Its suspension even includes a system which grabs the breaks for a second so that the vehicle doesn’t pitch forwards and backwards after hitting a speed bump. Big enough for a family, this vehicle will provide comfort for those long journeys to and from your days out.

Range Rover

The Range Rover is a great choice when it comes to comfort. There’s a lot of wood and leather trim in the spacious cabin, and you can add features to personalise the vehicle to your taste/preferences. The soft suspension controls the body’s great mass while also insulating passengers from uneven road surfaces.

Citroen C1

The Citroen C1 might look like the odd one out among these larger, more luxurious models but it’s remarkably comfortable and quiet for such a compact car. Its soft suspension and light controls makes it very easy to drive, whilst the city-friendly dimensions make it incredibly easy to manoeuvre on busy roads. It is big enough for four adults to sit comfortably, whilst the boot is large enough for the weekly grocery shop.

Suzuki Swift

The newer Suzuki Swift is a little wider than before, making it even more comfortable for its passengers to sit comfortably whilst they travel. Additionally, the front seats are low enough for even tall drivers to have enough head room. Storage room is also good, with there being a decent sized glove box, cup holders, and a relatively roomy boot.
